Picoxystrobin has the ability to move from the vapor phase into the plant and then to be transported systemically within the xylem. It also demonstrates xylem mobility. This movement is slow and even and does not lead to rapid accumulation at the tip. None of the current competitor strobilurins demonstrate surface diffusion and Xylem mobility.
Picoxystrobin 22.7%
Mode of Action:
Picoxystrobin comes under FRAC Group 11. It is a Quinone outside inhibitor (QoI). QoIs are chemical compounds which act at the Quinone outer binding site of the cytochrome bc1 complex. Binds to the protein ubiquinol oxidase in respiratory Complex III . Stops growth of plant pathogenic fungi by blocking cell respiration.
